Why Email Deliverability Matters
Internet Service Providers (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo) judge every sender's reputation. A new email address or domain that suddenly sends thousands of emails looks suspicious — and ISPs route those emails to spam. Warmup solves this by starting small and growing gradually.
What Vedain's Warmup Does
When you enable warmup for an email account, Vedain automatically:
- •Sends small batches of emails to a network of real inboxes.
- •Those inboxes automatically open and positively engage with your emails.
- •Gradually increases the daily volume over 2-4 weeks.
- •Builds a positive sending reputation with ISPs before you start sending campaigns.
How to Enable Warmup
- Go to Settings → Email.
- Select your connected email account.
- Click the Warmup tab or find the Warmup toggle.
- Toggle warmup On.
- Vedain begins the warmup process automatically. It typically takes 2-4 weeks to complete.
Signs Your Deliverability Needs Attention
- •Open rates below 5% for campaigns to warm leads
- •High bounce rate (above 5%)
- •Recipients reporting your emails in their spam
- •Low click rate despite sending to engaged contacts
SPF, DKIM, and DMARC — The Technical Foundation
These are DNS records that prove you own the domain you're sending from. Without them, emails are more likely to be marked as spam.
- •SPF: A TXT record telling email servers which IPs are allowed to send email for your domain.
- •DKIM: A digital signature on your emails proving they weren't tampered with in transit.
- •DMARC: A policy telling what to do if SPF/DKIM fail (quarantine or reject).
These are configured in your domain's DNS settings (via your domain registrar or hosting provider — e.g., GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Namecheap). Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 provide step-by-step guides for setting up DKIM.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need warmup if I already use Gmail for sending?
If you have been actively using your Gmail account for regular email for months or years, your account has an established reputation and may not need warmup. Warmup is most critical for new domains, new email accounts, or accounts that have been inactive.
Can I send real campaigns while warming up?
Yes, but keep campaign volumes low during warmup. Sending thousands of emails while still warming up can hurt the process. Gradually increase campaign size as warmup progresses.
How do I know when warmup is complete?
Vedain shows the warmup progress status on the Settings → Email page. When the warmup period is complete, the status changes and you can send at full volume.
