After Creating a Field
The new field appears at the bottom of the form. You can reorder it by dragging (see the reordering guide). Custom fields also appear in CSV exports, reports, and can be used as automation rule conditions and campaign filters.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many custom fields can I create?
There is no hard limit on custom fields in Vedain. You can create as many as your business needs across Leads, Contacts, and Accounts.
Can I delete a custom field?
Yes. Go to Settings → Custom Fields, find the field, and click Delete. Warning: deleting a custom field permanently removes all data stored in that field across all records. This cannot be undone.
Do custom fields appear in CSV exports?
Yes. All custom fields with data are included in CSV exports. They appear as additional columns after the standard fields.
Can I use custom fields in campaign filters?
Yes. When building a campaign, the recipient filter allows you to filter by custom field values. For example, filter leads where 'Product Interest' equals 'Product A'.
Can I create the same custom field for both Leads and Contacts?
Yes, but you need to create it separately in each module. Go to Settings → Custom Fields → Leads → Add Field, then Settings → Custom Fields → Contacts → Add Field for the same field.
