How to Reorder Fields
- Open any lead form: go to Leads → New Lead (or edit an existing lead).
- Look for the drag handle on the left side of each field — it looks like six dots (⠿).
- Click and hold the drag handle on the field you want to move.
- Drag the field to its new position.
- Release to drop it. The new order is saved automatically.
- The same order is used for all users on your team.
Reordering Contact Form Fields
The same drag-to-reorder works on the Contact form. Open Contacts → New Contact (or edit an existing contact) and drag the fields to your preferred order. Lead and Contact form orders are independent.
Recommended Field Order for Sales Teams
Here is a common field order that works well for most sales teams:
- First Name, Last Name (always at top — cannot be moved)
- Phone (primary contact method for follow-ups)
- Email (for campaigns and tracking)
- Company (for B2B teams)
- Lead Status, Lead Source (qualification data)
- Owner (assignment)
- Deal Value, Expected Close Date (opportunity data)
- Industry, Position (background info)
- Address fields (at the bottom)
- Custom fields (after built-in fields)
Reordering Custom Fields
Custom fields you have created also appear in the form and can be dragged to any position, including above built-in fields. This is useful if a custom field (like 'Budget') is more important than some default fields.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does field order affect how data appears in CSV exports?
No. CSV exports use a fixed column order based on the field names, not the display order on the form. Reordering fields only changes the visual layout of the form.
Can Admins and Sales Reps have different field orders?
No. Field order is company-wide and the same for all users. There is currently no per-role field order setting.
Can I move the First Name and Last Name fields?
No. First Name and Last Name are always pinned at the top of the form and cannot be reordered.
