How to Set Up and Run a Calling Campaign in Vedain CRM

Vedain's calling module lets your team run phone campaigns directly from the browser — no separate dialer app needed. Here is how to set it up from connecting your telephony provider through running a live session.

Step 1: Connect a Telephony Provider

  1. Go to Settings → Calling.
  2. Select your provider: Twilio, Ozonetel, UROperator, or Acefone.
  3. Enter the required credentials (varies by provider — typically API key, Account SID, Auth Token).
  4. Click Save.
  5. Click Test Connection to verify calls can be made.

Step 2: Configure Call Dispositions

Dispositions are the outcomes you log after each call. Go to Settings → Calling → Dispositions and add your outcomes:

  • Interested — wants a follow-up
  • Not Interested — remove from list
  • Call Back Later — schedule follow-up call
  • No Answer — will try again
  • Voicemail — left a message
  • Wrong Number — bad data

Step 3: Create a Calling Campaign

  1. Click Calling Campaigns in the left sidebar.
  2. Click + New Campaign.
  3. Enter a campaign name.
  4. Select the recipient list (Leads or Contacts — filter as needed).
  5. Assign which team members will make calls in this campaign.
  6. Click Save Campaign.

Step 4: Run a Live Dialer Session

  1. Open the calling campaign.
  2. Click Start Session.
  3. The browser-based dialer opens.
  4. Click Next to dial the first number — the call connects via WebRTC (no phone hardware needed, just a headset).
  5. After the call: select a disposition, add a note.
  6. Click Next to dial the next contact.
  7. Click End Session when done.
  8. Review the session summary: calls made, connected, dispositions breakdown.

Which calling providers does Vedain support?

Vedain supports Twilio (global), Ozonetel (India), UROperator (India), and Acefone (India/UK). More providers may be added — contact support to request a specific provider.

Can I record calls?

Call recording is available depending on your telephony provider's capabilities. For Twilio, enable call recording in your Twilio account settings and Vedain will link the recording to the call log.

Do I need special hardware or a physical phone?

No. Calls go through your browser using WebRTC technology. A headset with a microphone is recommended for call quality, but it works with your laptop's built-in microphone and speakers too.
