How to Use the Pipeline (Kanban) View for Deals in Vedain

Vedain CRM·18-Jun-2026·3 min read

The pipeline Kanban view gives you a visual overview of all your deals organised by stage. Drag deals between columns to update their stage, and instantly see your total pipeline value at a glance.

Switching to the Pipeline View

Go to Deals and click the Pipeline or Kanban view button (grid icon, top right). The List view and Pipeline view show the same deals — just different layouts.

Reading the Kanban Board

  • Each column represents a pipeline stage (e.g., Lead, Qualified, Proposal, Won).
  • Each card represents one deal. The card shows: deal name, linked contact, deal value, expected close date, and owner avatar.
  • The column header shows the total count and total value of all deals in that stage.
  • Deals overdue (expected close date in the past) are highlighted in red.

Moving a Deal to a Different Stage

Drag a deal card from one column and drop it into another column. The deal's stage updates immediately. A timeline entry is automatically logged: 'Stage changed from [X] to [Y] by [User]'.

Filtering the Pipeline View

Use the filter button (top right) to filter the pipeline by:

  • Owner — see only your deals or a specific team member's deals.
  • Expected Close Date — focus on deals closing this month.
  • Deal Value — filter by value range.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have multiple separate pipelines for different products?

Currently Vedain has a single shared pipeline. Use a custom field like 'Pipeline Type' to segment deals within the single pipeline, and filter the view by that field.

How do I see the total value of my entire pipeline?

The total pipeline value is shown in the Reports section under Deal Reports → Pipeline Value. Each stage column header also shows the total value of deals in that stage.

Can I collapse stages I don't use?

You can hide stages by going to Settings → Deal Stages and deleting unused stages (after moving any deals out of them first).
