Finding Email History on a Contact
- Open the contact record.
- Click the Timeline tab.
- Click the Emails filter button to show only email entries.
- Each email entry shows: subject line, sender, sent date/time, and a status badge.
Understanding Email Status Badges
- •Sent (grey) — Email was delivered. Not yet opened.
- •Opened (blue) — The contact opened the email. Hover to see open count and timestamps.
- •Clicked (green) — The contact clicked a link. Hover to see which link and when.
- •Bounced (red) — Email could not be delivered. The address may be invalid.
- •Unsubscribed (orange) — The contact clicked your unsubscribe link.
Seeing Open and Click Details
Click on any email entry in the timeline to expand it. You will see:
- •The full email subject and a preview of the body.
- •Exact timestamps for each open event (if opened multiple times, all times are shown).
- •Which specific link(s) were clicked and at what time.
Viewing Email History from the Campaign Side
You can also see per-contact tracking from the Campaign Detail page. Go to Campaigns → [campaign name] → Recipients tab to see every recipient's status in a table.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does some email history not appear on a contact?
Only emails sent through Vedain are tracked. Emails sent directly from Gmail or Outlook outside of Vedain will not appear on the contact timeline.
How far back does email history go?
All emails sent from Vedain are permanently recorded on the contact timeline. There is no archiving or automatic deletion of email history.
Can I see which specific link they clicked?
Yes. Click the email entry in the timeline to expand it. Under the Clicked badge you will see the link URL and the exact time it was clicked.
