What gets checked

Two levels of checking, one answer per address

Most bad addresses can be caught without touching a mail server. The rest need a mailbox check, which asks the recipient’s server whether the inbox exists — without sending an email.

Bounces hurt everyoneMailbox providers watch your bounce rate. Once it climbs past a couple of percent, even your good emails start landing in spam.
Lists decay every monthPeople change jobs, companies change domains and inboxes close. A list that was clean last year is not clean today.
Typos are the easy winA surprising share of bounces are simple typos made at a form or during data entry. They are free to catch and often free to fix.
Better inside your CRM

No export, no upload, no re-import

With a stand-alone verifier you export your list, upload it, wait, download the results and import them back. In Vedain, the result is written on each lead and contact, filters and campaign audiences can use it, typo fixes take one click, and every campaign skips invalid recipients on its own. If you already have a list outside the CRM, upload it: up to 200,000 addresses per file, with misspelt and dead-domain addresses answered free.

Questions

Is the email verifier really free?

The instant check on this page is free and needs no account. Checking whether the mailbox itself exists needs a free Vedain account, which includes 50 mailbox checks. After that, mailbox checks cost ₹0.40 ($0.005) each, and the quick check stays free.

Why do I need to sign up for mailbox checks?

A mailbox check talks to the recipient’s mail server. Offering that anonymously would invite abuse, which would get the checking server blocked for everyone. An account keeps the service reliable.

Does verifying an address send it an email?

No. The verifier asks the recipient’s mail server whether it would accept mail for the address, then ends the conversation before anything is sent. The person never sees anything.

What do valid, invalid, catch-all and unknown mean?

Valid: the server confirmed the mailbox. Invalid: the server said it does not exist, or the domain cannot receive mail. Catch-all: the domain accepts every address, so a specific inbox cannot be confirmed. Unknown: the server would not give a clear answer. Unknowns are never charged.

Can I check a whole list?

Yes. Inside Vedain you can check every lead and contact at once, or upload a CSV or Excel file of up to 200,000 addresses and download the results.

Is my data stored or shared?

The instant check on this page runs in your browser and sends nothing to us. Inside Vedain, list results stay in your own workspace, and the shared bounce memory stores only one-way hashes of addresses, never the addresses themselves.
