Step 1: Configure Your Support Portal
- Click Support Desk in the left sidebar.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Set your Company Slug — this becomes your portal URL: vedain.com/support-portal/your-slug.
- Upload your logo for the portal.
- Toggle Enable Public Portal on.
Step 2: Add the Embeddable Widget to Your Website
The widget is a floating button on your website that customers click to submit a support ticket without leaving your site:
- In Support Desk → Settings → scroll to Embeddable Widget.
- Copy the JavaScript snippet.
- Paste it in your website's HTML before the closing </body> tag.
- The widget appears as a floating support button (bottom right).
- Test it by clicking the widget and submitting a test ticket.
Step 3: Configure Your Support Team
- •Go to Support Desk → Settings → Team.
- •Add team members as support agents.
- •Set up ticket categories and priorities.
- •Configure auto-assignment rules if desired.

Can customers submit tickets without creating an account?
Yes. Customers can submit tickets from the public portal or widget using just their email address — no account required. Vedain creates a contact record for them automatically.
Can I use a custom domain for the support portal?
The default portal URL is at vedain.com/support-portal/your-slug. Custom domain support (e.g., support.yourcompany.com) is available on higher-tier plans — contact Vedain support.
Can I customise the widget colour?
Yes. In Support Desk → Settings → Widget, you can change the widget colour to match your brand.
