Two parts: a free allowance, then flat packs
Vedain charges for AI enrichment — Company profile and Job-title intelligence — in two parts. First, every account gets a one-time free allowance so you can see the value before you spend anything. Once that allowance is used, each run costs a single flat pack fee set by how many records the run fills. There is no per-field charge and no subscription tier to upgrade; you simply see the price and confirm it.
Inbox intelligence is priced differently — per record it updates — and is covered in AI enrichment and Inbox intelligence. This article is about the Company profile and Job-title intelligence pricing only.
The one-time free allowance
The first 500 records you ever enrich are free. This is a one-time allowance per account — it does not reset each month. Company profile and Job-title intelligence share the same allowance, so enriching 300 leads with both tools uses 300 of your 500, not 600.
- •A run that fits inside your remaining allowance is Free and draws the records down from the allowance.
- •A run larger than what is left does not nibble the allowance — it is charged as one flat pack, and your remaining free records stay untouched for a later small run.
- •Your administrator can change the size of the free allowance for your account.
In practice, most teams spend their free allowance cleaning up their most important segment first — a key territory or a campaign audience — and then pay a flat pack to enrich the rest in one go.
The flat pack tiers
Beyond the free allowance, a run is priced by the number of records it fills, in flat bands. Prices are shown in your wallet’s currency, which is set by your company’s country.
| Records enriched in a run | INR | USD | AED |
|---|---|---|---|
| First 500 (one-time) | Free | Free | Free |
| Up to 2,000 | ₹499 | $14.90 | AED 25 |
| Up to 5,000 | ₹999 | $29.90 | AED 50 |
| Up to 10,000 | ₹1,699 | $49.90 | AED 100 |
| Each additional 5,000 | +₹750 | +$20 | +AED 50 |
So a run that fills 1,800 records is one flat ₹499; a run that fills 4,000 is ₹999; a run that fills 12,000 is ₹1,699 plus one +₹750 band for the records above 10,000. The Pricing card on the AI enrichment page always shows the exact tiers for your currency, and your administrator can adjust both the allowance and these prices, so treat the figures here as the default.
How records are counted
You are charged by distinct records, not by fields or by tools:
- •A record that receives both a company profile and job-title intelligence in the same run counts as one record.
- •Only records that actually get at least one blank field filled are counted. A record the AI couldn’t improve is not charged.
- •Records are counted per run. If you run Leads today and Contacts tomorrow, each run is priced on its own count.
Because only blank fields are ever filled, running enrichment a second time over the same records usually finds far less to do — and therefore costs far less, or nothing — since the gaps are already closed.
How you are billed
The price you see is the price you pay — confirmed up front and capped. The flow is:
- Before you run, the This run panel shows how many records will be enriched and the exact price — Free or a flat pack amount.
- You confirm. The quoted amount is the maximum for that run.
- The run works in the background. If it fills fewer records than estimated — for example a website was unreachable — you are charged for the lower band, never more than the quote.
- When it finishes you see a result such as “Enriched 206 records” with the amount charged, or that it was free.
Enrichment is paid from your Vedain wallet, not from your plan. Open it under Billing → Credits, where it is shown as ContactOut enrichment — the same wallet that Email Verification draws on. Top up with a preset amount or your own (a minimum applies). Credit purchases are billed separately from your subscription and get their own receipt. If the wallet is empty the run buttons are disabled and the page shows “Your wallet is empty — top up to run AI enrichment.”
Keeping the cost down
- •Start with a segment. Spend the free allowance on the records that matter most, then decide whether a paid pack is worth it for the rest.
- •Clean before you enrich. Run the free clean-up rules first so names and domains are tidy; the AI then has cleaner inputs to work from.
- •Enrich once. Because only blanks are filled, there is rarely value in re-running enrichment over records you have already enriched.
- •Check the estimate. The record count on the This run panel tells you which pack band you are in before you commit.
Common questions
Does the free allowance reset? No. It is one-time per account. Once used, every run is a paid pack.
If I undo a run, do I get the money back? No. Undo restores the earlier blank values, but the pack fee isn’t refunded because the AI work was already done. A run that was free under your allowance has nothing to refund. See Undoing Data Health changes.
Can I use my own AI key to avoid the fee? No. Company profile and Job-title intelligence run on Vedain’s platform AI and can’t be pointed at your own key.
Is the free clean-up affected? No. The formatting and blank-filling rules in Data Health clean-up are free on every plan with no record limit. Only the AI tools use the allowance and packs.
