How does the AI know about my business?In Settings → Live Chat you can generate its knowledge from your website, upload documents (PDF, Word, text) or type it yourself — then review before saving. The assistant answers only from that content and says so when it is not sure, so it does not invent prices or policies.
Does the AI answer outside business hours?Yes, if you want it to. With business hours set, the AI keeps answering at night and at weekends and asks visitors who want a person for their email address. Your team gets a follow-up alert for each of those chats.
How much do AI answers cost?They are included in your Vedain plan. There are no per-resolution or per-conversation fees.
What happens when a visitor asks for a human?Phrases like "talk to a human" or "contact support" immediately flag the conversation for your team, notify agents, and tell the visitor help is coming. Agents see the full transcript and visitor context before replying.
Do chats become leads automatically?Yes, as soon as there is an email address — from the pre-chat form or typed during the chat. The chat creates or matches a lead, with the conversation, source page and any qualification answers on the lead.
Can I install it on any website?Yes — it is one script tag that works on WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix, Squarespace or custom code, and it loads asynchronously so it does not hold up your page. The Setup Assistant tells you when it is live.
What about privacy and cookies?The chat form links to your own privacy policy, the widget font is served by Vedain (no Google Fonts request), cookie-consent mode stores nothing in the visitor's browser until they open the chat, and you can delete closed chats automatically after 30 days to a year.
